An invitation from Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin’s Office for Annie Kenney to attend the Ceremonial Unveiling of Mrs. Pankhurst’s Statue in Westminster on 6 March 1930. The inside page communicates that The Metropolitan Police Central Band will play and that Dame Ethel Smyth will conduct. Ethel Smyth was a dedicated participant in the suffrage movement and in 1910 composed “The March of the Women”, a song that became the official anthem of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU).
