How We Joined the March: Events

Suffragette Stories Events

To celebrate the centenary of women voting for the first time, we took the Kenney Papers Archive on tour across Norfolk.

Below you will find details of the different strands of the project including: i) oral history telling workshops on lost legacies and women's equality, where school students interviewed older community members about the changes in women's roles over the last century (view photo highlights from our workshop in Wroxham) ii) library exhibitions inspired by the archive and curated by the community iii) creative writing workshops held in schools.

The project also held other public events within the community to celebrate this important milestone and to recruit volunteer transcribers and budding authors to help fulfill our goals.
